On Friday the 22nd January we had 25 people attended our Burns lunch event. Great fun was had by all. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved.

Donations towards the tea’s and Raffle’s welcome. Prize for the highest score accumulated between the 3 Whists. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Just to let you know The Centre are having a Quiz at 1.30pm on Friday 8th January everyone welcome please join us if you can.
The Armchair Film Club will be watching a film (probably Rock Hudson and Doris Day in Pillow Talk?) On Friday 15th January after lunch at 1.30pm, please feel free to come along. We are having a Burns Lunch/drams and songs with Rosemary Gillespie and hopefully a few tunes from a piper on Friday 22nd January. If you wish to join us for this please book for 12.30pm in advance. Our next steering group meeting will be held at 1.15pm on Friday 29th January. Please bring your ideas along with you! We are having the 1st of our 3 x Whist’s League at 7pm on Friday 29th January with the 2nd whist on 19th February and the 3rd Whist on 18th March, there will be a prize for the person with the highest score accumulated between the 3 whist’s, don’t worry if you can’t attend all three whist’s as there will be the usual winners prizes and raffle at each whist. Weekly Centre Sewing Group Wednesdays 7-9pm, bring yourself for a blether and whatever project you’re working on hand or machine or start something else, we have two community sewing machines and some materials for your use. Resumes again on Wednesday 13th January. The Community Café will resume again at 11.30am-2.30pm on Monday 11th January and will continue every Monday except the first Monday of each month serving homemade soup and roll’s, filled sandwiches made to order, hot and cold drinks and a selection of home baking. I have given Heather Downie the contact details of everyone who has expressed an interest regarding a regular Art Group at the Centre, hopefully this will be up and running very soon. Remember we serve two course home cooked meals at the Centre on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays to over 50’s, please book in advance by phoning 01967431411 or e-mail as above.
